SONIC
An acoustic underlay for solid, engineered or laminated wooden floors, in order to reduce the noise of the impacts and interior drum sound by at least 50%, achieving an SL30 rating tested to EPLF norm 021029-3.
SONIC is a synthetic rubber with a membrane of cross linked polyethylene high density foam, offering excellent sound reduction and compression strength, ready to be installed directly under solid, engineered or laminate floors, in conjunction with a vapour and moisture barrier; also suitable for use with underfloor heating.

Easy to install:
SONIC can easily be cut to size and no special tools are required for handling.
- The floor must be stable, clean, dry and free of dust or stones that could damage the sheet. SONIC will smooth out minor irregularities.
- Lay SONIC (PE side down) on to the floor.
- Prevent any air bubbles forming between the floor and the SONIC.
- Tape the joints between the sheets of SONIC using Envoy ALUMINIUM-Tape to give a suitable moisture barrier, ensuring no overlaps.
- Immediately after applying SONIC, you can start to lay the floating wooden or laminated flooring.
